We are seeking a Bookkeeper for a permanent engagement! Please see the following list of responsibilities:
- Process and record daily AR and AP transactions
- Communication with clients, vendors and banks as required
- Update, verify, and maintain Quickbooks and other financial records
- Monthly reconciliation of multiple bank accounts
- Monthly adjustment of inventory accounts
- Monthly preparation and filing of GST/HST returns
- Prepare reports for management, including weekly cash flow forecasts
- File and process company expenses and reimbursements
- Bank runs
- Maintain office supplies
- Data entry and other administrative duties
- Sensitivity to confidential matter is required
Qualifications and Skills
- Completion of a university degree is required (accounting)
- 2 years of experience in accounting is preferred
- Strong attention to details and accuracy
- Professional communication demeanor
- Ability to work within a team environment
- Experience with Microsoft Office and document creation software such as Adobe Acrobat is required
- Must have good computer skills
- Strong organization skills and time management skills is necessary
